"Francis of Assisi" – The Joy of Creation

This radiant artwork captures the essence of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and nature, as he walks in harmony with creation. This painting was created on a 24"x18" birch wood panel. The texture you can notice is venetian plaster that was layered with alcohol ink, sanded and re-layered until the desired depth was achieved. In addition acrylic paint and other mixed media was used. The final layer of this piece consists of oil paint.
